Commitment #25

“I will use a metal nail file.”

When you make a commitment to live more sustainably, every little detail seems to have more significance. Yesterday, while trimming my nails, I remembered that the file I was using has been a part of my beauty arsenal since intermediate school. This little, metal, Revlon file was a free gift with purchase and has truly stood the test of time and proven itself longer lasting that a standard emery board.

Sometimes moving toward sustainability is just about making smart choices to buy quality products which last. If I ever find myself in need of another nail file — who knows, this one could last me my whole life — I’ll be sure to purchase the same kind.
